The Great Give Back: Kid & Teen Clothing Drive for The Sharing Shelf In-Person
For the month of October, RFRR is participating in The Great Give Back, a statewide community service initiative, by collecting kid and teen clothing for The Sharing Shelf, Westchester's Clothing Bank for Children.
The Sharing Shelf provides local infants, children, and teens in need with a Wardrobe Pack that contains a week’s worth of seasonally & size appropriate clothing, toiletry kit, and age-appropriate essentials like new socks, underwear, diapers, and period kits.
To participate, bring your seasonally appropriate new or gently used clothing in all sizes, from newborn through adult XXL, to the library during business hours. Clothes will be collected in the Children’s Room.
Donations should be in clean, wearable condition ready for immediate distribution. Stained and damaged clothing will be put in their on-site recycling bins.
The mission of The Great Give Back "is to provide a day of opportunities for the patrons of the Public Libraries of New York State to participate in meaningful, service-oriented experiences".
Visit thegreatgiveback.org and sharingshelf.org for more information on these initiatives!
