Watershed Literary In-Person
Join us this fall for the return of Watershed, a biannual literary festival celebrating contemporary authors, the art of writing, and the joy of reading. Watershed Literary Festival 2025 shines a light on contemporary fiction, memoir, poetry, history, crime, journalism and more. The 3-day immersion will feature recent works by writers, poets, and journalists, in addition to insights from publishing world insiders.
The 40+ author line-up will include Betsy Lerner, who will speak about her new novel Shred Sisters, Stu Zicherman, who will tell us about writing for film and television (Netflix’s The Americans, FX’s American Crime Story), and Nicole Graev Lipson, who will read from her gorgeous book of essays Mothers & Other Fictional Characters. Listen in, ask questions, be inspired! Enjoy book talks, author interviews, and panel discussions. Author signings will be arranged whenever possible; a limited number of books will be available for purchase.
This year, we are thrilled to announce our new location: Bird Meeting House, 624 Milton Road, Rye, NY. Events are FREE but a $20 donation per event is appreciated (cash or Venmo preferred). Proceeds benefit Rye’s beloved not-for-profit orgs Rye Free Reading Room, Rye Arts Center, and Rye Historical Society.
